Studio Preparation for the White Rock Artist Tour
I am busy painting and organizing my studio for the White Rock Artist Tour, October 12-13. As you can see, I have a few paintings!
This was a fun December project. We gave them away for holiday presents. I plan to sell them at the White Rock Artist Tour October. 12-13.
I found this spot behind Winfrey Point after a rain storm. The pink red buds sparkled against the dark sky and background foliage. Sunlight hit the trees and foreground.
This is going to be like “where’s Waldo?” Can you find the butterflies in my painting that are always on my spring coneflowers?
One of my favorite sights on the Cape are the marsh waters that tortuously wind back to the ocean. They are filled with lovely grasses and birds, herons and egrets.
Now you can see why we enjoy our vacations in Cape Cod! Here is the backyard garden we have enjoyed for several years, with hydrangeas, daylilies, sunflowers and goldfinches that come to the birdfeeder.

I’m playing with white on white here. It works because of the violet shadows.

Since Paris has been in our sights with the Olympics, I thought I would feature a nocturne painting I did of the Eiffel Tower and the Seine. I loved painting all the night lights!
I donated three watercolor paintings to the University of Detroit Dental Hygiene Class of 1979 for a reunion raffle. Here is one of them. The new owner on the right is Paula Pravlochak. Thanks to Marie Beauvais on the left for sending me this photo! These were my students back in the day.
