This is one of my favorite houses in Wellfleet, MA, and the painting of it sold while I was vacationing there. It was the height of hydrangea season too, and the beautiful blue blooms were everywhere!

I am getting ready to go to the Cape! Here is a painting of the marsh in Wellfleet that I painted outdoors last year. When you paint outdoors, you go fast and loose. There are many daylilies in June there. Here are yellow and orange ones.

Still getting the Texas wildflowers out of my system. With this one, I let the water really flow within the Indian Blanket flowers and added lots of gold paint. The painting really sparkles!

I am always trying to create the perfect bluebonnet painting. Believe it or not, they are hard to paint as the color blue recedes. Nature knows the answer, add orange Indian paintbrush! Notice the vultures circling overhead.

I sat in the sun behind the George W Bush Presidential Library and painted these wildflowers. Believe it or not, there are 15 acres of wildflower fields in bloom right now there. Amazing place.

The night sky is not just black. We took a walk at 3:00 am to the Wellfleet Harbor (couldn’t sleep!) and were amazed at all the light and color in the sky.

We plein air painted at Connemara Nature Preserve in Plano, Tx on Saturday. The sky was gray, but the wildflowers glowed, bee balm, coneflowers, basket flowers and firewheels. They transported us in jeep-like trucks and fed us muffins and coffee. A fun event!
