The Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas framed my watercolor. The watercolor paper has a deckle edge (made by me!) and is mounted on a blue/gray mat. This gives the flowers some room to breath. They did such a nice job on this.

Ann McCann's Future Show at the Baylor Health Science's Library
I am slowing adding new paintings to my exhibit at the Baylor Health Science's Library. Due to Covid, my show from February 2020 has been up all year without visitors. The redbud trees are blooming in Dallas. I love the varied shades of purple and pink. I have added some metallic gold touches on the trunk to give it some spark where the sun hits it. This would definitely light up a room.

This was a painting I did in Janet Roger’s watercolor workshop last month. I was going for hard and soft edges that create depth in the painting. Janet told me to stop and “sign it!”

"Spring Pears" by Ann McCann 12 X12" Oil
I try to paint these Bradford Pear trees every year. This painting was made with 3 colors- Indian yellow, transparent red, ultramarine blue- and white. This is a requirement for the Dutch Art Gallery Spring 2021 Show.

"Valentine's Day Bouquet" by Ann McCann 9 X 12" Watercolor
My husband went all out for Valentine’s Day and presented me with this bouquet of hydrangeas, lilies, roses and irises. What a feast for a flower painter! It gave me hope during the horrible Texas winter storm last month.
