I saw this stone cottage on Isle of Skye last August. In the cool light of Scotland, these red/pink roses really popped, and this is what I have tried to capture here. Enjoy!

Fall comes late to Dallas, but it is here now in my neighborhood. This tree is red and gorgeous as it towers over the 100 year old homes.
I captured these yummy orange sherbet hibiscus in Cape Cod. Although this painting looks like a pastel, it really is an oil. I created this effect by toning the canvas with a dark color and then adding pastel colors with a lot of white in them. This painting is available at the Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas.
We’ve been having some rainy, gray days here (weatherman calls it “mizzle”) so I felt the need to paint some sunflower sunshine.
This is my painting that will be exhibited at the Dutch Art Gallery, 10233 E Northwest Hwy, starting this Saturday, November 9. Please come to the opening reception starting at 11:00 am. The announcement of awards is at 2:00 pm. Food and drinks will be provided. It will be a party!
