This was a scene from a city park in Santa Fe where we spent the December holidays in 2017. I was fascinated by the mounds of dried chamisa everywhere. The yellow of the chamisa and the purple shadows create a lot of visual vibration.

"Opening Flowers" by Ann McCann 11 X 14" Oil
I arranged these beautiful roses and irises for my art opening last night. Attendees encouraged me to paint them so I did. I painted then fast and loose. I think they capture the feeling of the event and the lovely time I spent with everyone that came.
"Garrison House" Portrait by Ann McCann 8 X 10" Watercolor
My former neighbor asked me to paint her old house that they built and where her kids grew up. This house is right next to me in East Dallas. So, I could run out and check out the details when the photos failed me. These portraits make nice gifts for yourself, family members. or new home owners.
