I photographed these poppies at the Wild Seed Farm in Fredericksburg last April. There were several fields of gorgeous red poppies as well as blue bonnets. Tourists arrived there by the busload. I bought some seeds to start my own!

Something wonderful must have happened here on Great Island Beach in Wellfleet, MA. A customer searched for Great Island Beach paintings and found mine. What a treat for me. This is a beach my family visits every summer in Cape Cod, and I love to paint it.

I posted this a while ago and got a lot of nice comments. So, I decided to post it again. I was sitting in a meadow and saw this view of the harbor in Orleans, MA (Cape Cod). It was the view as seen by the Queen Anne's Lace.

The roses at the Alhambra (Moorish Palace) in Granada, Spain were large and beautiful. This was the end of a rose trellis in one of the gardens. I snapped a photo and painted it in my studio today.
This is a pink flowering tree on the side of Monet's house in Giverny that was blooming in May 2012 when we visited. And yes, his house is really pink too with green shutters. It is a very lovely place with flowers everywhere. I painted a much smaller version that a friend of mine bought a year ago, and I've wanted to do a larger version for some time now.
I have 2 paintings accepted into this show opening on November 5, 2016 (see below). The first is the re-painting of Monet's "Pond of Water Lilies" (16 X 20) The second is "Tropical Red, White and Blue" (12x16). I hope to see you there.
This is a larger version of my repainting of Monet's Water Lily Pond. I painted this in response to the request of a local gallery for paintings "like the Masters." I have always admired this colorful version of Monet's oft repeated scene. I don't think the two paintings will be confused as mine was painted with a knife and Monet used a brush. Also, his was 2 X 3 feet in size!

I painted this for the Biblical Art Museum's 8X8 Exhibition & Auction. I took the photo for the painting at St Andrews Scottish Church across the valley from the Old City in Jerusalem. It was a beautiful sunset! The event is this Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 7-10 pm.

This event takes place on Saturday Nov 5th from noon to 4pm. They are featuring 6 homes ranging from one that dates back to Vickery Place’s beginnings in 1912 to new homes. They also have a variety of home styles as well – Craftsman, Tudor, modern Prairie. Tour proceeds will benefit the SPCA of Texas, PTA for Robert E Lee Elementary School and Vickery Place neighborhood improvements. This is the look of winter in Texas, high light with lots of yellows, pinks and purples. I used lots of thin color glazes to make the scene glow. I started this plein air and finished in my studio.
